ICBC Counselling Support
After an accident, it’s not just your body that’s affected. Your nervous system and sense of safety can feel shaken too.
You might be experiencing:
You don’t have to push through this on your own. There is space to slow down, process what you’ve been through, and begin to feel more like yourself again.

How ICBC Counselling Works
You may be pre-approved for up to 12 counselling sessions within the first 12 weeks after your accident — with no doctor’s referral required.
I offer direct billing to ICBC for approved sessions, with no top-up fee, so you can focus on recovery instead of paperwork.
Start with a free 20-minute consultation to see if counselling feels like the right fit.
You’ll need your ICBC claim number, PHN, and accident date so I can confirm direct billing.
Sessions can help you understand stress responses and gently rebuild a sense of safety.
What Counselling Can Support
After an accident, your body and mind may still feel on edge. Counselling can help you understand these responses, process what happened, and gently rebuild a sense of safety.

Some people continue to experience pain weeks or months after a car accident. When pain lasts longer than expected, your body and nervous system may become more sensitive, making driving, work, sleep, movement, and daily life feel harder.
This does not mean your pain is imagined. Your pain is real. But chronic pain after a car accident can affect more than the body — it can also bring fear, frustration, grief, fatigue, and a loss of trust in your body.
Counselling can help you understand the emotional and nervous system impact of ongoing pain, while supporting you to slowly rebuild safety, steadiness, and confidence in daily life.

Why Work With Me
Jenny Hsuan Fang Hsu is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering ICBC direct-billing counselling in Vancouver and online across BC.
I bring both professional training and lived experience into this work. I’ve been through a car accident myself, and I understand how the impact can stay in your body and nervous system — even after everything seems “over.”
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and biopsychosocial approach. This means we go at a pace that feels safe, consider how your body, emotions, and daily life are connected, and explore how culture, family expectations, and identity may shape your experience.
I also hold a Post-Degree Diploma in Psychosocial Rehabilitation, which supports my work in recovery, pain management, and helping you rebuild stability in everyday life.
I offer sessions in both English and Mandarin, and aim to create a space that feels respectful, inclusive, and grounded in your lived experience.

That’s okay. You can book a free 20-minute consultation to talk through your situation and see if this feels like the right fit.
You do not need to know the exact name for what you are feeling, or which category your experience fits into, before reaching out. Many people begin counselling with a sense that something feels heavy, confusing, stuck, or hard to carry alone.
