1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at lovehealscounselling.ca and any services offered by Love Heals Counselling & Consulting (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Love Heals”).
By accessing or using our website or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or our services.
Love Heals provides counselling and consulting services for individuals located in British Columbia, Canada. Services may be delivered in-person or through secure virtual platforms.
We do not provide emergency or crisis intervention services.
If you are in immediate danger or are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact BC Crisis Line 1-800-784-2433.
You must be:
At least 18 years old to book and participate in counselling, OR
Have consent from a parent/guardian if under 18.
You must reside in British Columbia if participating in therapy with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (due to licensing regulations).
Information available on our website—including blog articles, newsletters, or downloadable resources—is for educational and informational purposes only.
Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as:
Medical advice,
Mental health diagnosis,
Treatment instructions.
Booking counselling services does not create a professional therapeutic relationship until a signed Consent for Service is received.
Appointments can be booked online, by email, or by phone. A booking confirmation will be sent via email.
We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be charged 100% of the session fee unless due to emergency circumstances.
We do not issue refunds for completed therapy sessions.
Pre-paid session packages are non-refundable once treatment has begun.

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
We accept major payment methods as listed on our website.
If your insurance (e.g., benefits plan or ICBC claim) covers counselling, you are responsible for confirming coverage eligibility and submitting receipts for reimbursement unless direct billing is offered.
You remain responsible for full payment of services that are not covered or reimbursed.
Client confidentiality is protected under BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and professional regulatory standards.
Exceptions where disclosure may occur without consent include:
Risk of harm to self or others,
Suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable person,
Legal court order or subpoena.

By choosing virtual counselling, you acknowledge and accept:
The inherent risks associated with technology (internet reliability, privacy risks),
Your responsibility to ensure you participate from a private, distraction-free location.
We use encrypted and industry-standard platforms whenever possible but cannot guarantee the security of external networks or devices used by clients.
All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos, images, and digital downloads—is owned by Love Heals Counselling & Consulting and protected by copyright laws.
You agree not to:
Copy, distribute, modify, or resell any content,
Use the content for commercial purposes without written permission.
You may not use the Site:
For illegal or fraudulent activity,
To attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts,
To transmit harmful or malicious code.
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access for misuse.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Love Heals and its counsellors shall not be liable for:
Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or services,
Loss or damage caused by website downtime, data breaches beyond our reasonable control, or third-party service interruptions.
Counselling outcomes vary individually and cannot be guaranteed.
You agree to indemnify and hold Love Heals harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes occur, we will update the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Site or services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
