Individual Counselling in Vancouver & Online Across BC

Individual Counselling

A safe and welcoming therapy space
where you don’t need to over-explain yourself.
Culturally sensitive and queer-affirming.

Start where you are

You don’t have to know where to begin.

Sometimes it is hard to name exactly what you need. You may only know that something feels heavy, that you keep repeating the same patterns, or that you want life to feel different than it does right now.

The areas below are here to help you find a starting point. You do not need to fit neatly into one category — we can begin with what feels most important now and make sense of it together.

Individual Counselling Support Areas

You can start with what feels most present.

You don’t have to know exactly what kind of counselling you need before you begin. Many people start with a feeling — feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, hurt, or unsure how to move forward.

You can explore the areas below, or simply book a free consultation and we can figure out together what kind of support may fit.

What to Expect in Our Work Together

I offer a space that is trauma‑informed, attachment‑based, and grounded in an anti‑oppressive approach. This means we move at a pace that feels safe, while recognizing how your relationships, experiences, culture, and identity shape what you’re going through.

My work draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic, and mindfulness approaches. Together, we explore emotions, notice patterns, and gently connect what you’re experiencing in both mind and body.

In sessions, I meet you where you are. When it feels helpful, I may offer tools or invite small experiments — both in session and in your daily life — so you can begin to respond in ways that feel more steady and aligned with you.

There’s no one‑size‑fits‑all approach here. We work together to find what fits you, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Getting Started

Starting counselling can be simple and gentle

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. Counselling can start with a conversation, and we can decide the next steps together.

01.

Book a free consultation

Start with a free 20-minute consultation. You can ask questions, share a little about what brings you here, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

02.

Book your first session

If you decide to continue, you can book your first counselling session. We will begin with what feels most important or most present for you.

03.

Work together at your pace

Counselling is a collaborative process. We can take time to understand your experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns without rushing.

04.

Review your progress together

Along the way, we can check in about how counselling is feeling, what is helpful, and whether your goals or needs have changed over time.
